Aly (she/her) provides individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents from a variety of backgrounds and needs. Aly has a special interest in working with those identifying in the LGBTQIA+ community. Aly is a trauma-informed therapist certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She has experience working with first responders, helping clients navigate life turning points such as coping with grief, loss, PTSD, depression, anxiety, coming out, spiritual crisis or awakening, faith transitions, mixed-faith marriages, and any trauma related to these topics or others. You can expect your therapy sessions with Aly to be conversational in nature and involve humor, providing the space to explore your emotions and personal narrative.
Aly believes that growth comes from deepening self awareness and healing through connection. This is achieved through a trusting, safe, therapeutic relationship allowing space for authentic expression. Aly integrates a variety of psycho-therapeutic modalities and interventions with an emphasis on Relational Cultural Therapy, EMDR, Mindful Self-Compassion, IFS, and LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy. Aly also has training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Integration. Aly loves learning and dedicates time to deepening her understanding of psychotherapy approaches with evidence-based research. She believes that we should never stop learning and growing as a person and hopes that any knowledge she acquires can in turn be helpful for her clients.
